8. Visit Cape Trafalgar
Conil de la Frontera hides many incredible places and corners that you must visit if you decide to spend your holidays here. One of them is Cape Trafalgar, where many people go to enjoy the spectacular sunsets.
There you can also enjoy the sand dunes along the beach, as well as the conical Atalaya tower, one of the most beautiful in Conil. You will also find a pine area, notable for its bright orange tones, which will make every moment you spend there unique and unforgettable.
9. Visit the Castilnovo Tower
Another of the incredible historic sites you should see on your visit to Conil is the Castilnovo Tower. It lies between Conil and El Palmar, so you can get there on foot or by bike, thanks to the two-kilometre path that runs parallel to the coast.
Near this path you will also find several places to rent bikes and ride a wonderful route with sea views. On the way you can take breaks in different spots, such as a small lagoon formed by the high-tide waters, and areas where you can see cattle grazing.
It is certainly a unique experience. And if you are a bird lover, the Castilnovo Tower is home to different birds, such as the northern bald ibis, which is endangered. If you decide to visit this area, take great care with these animals, especially in the breeding season, as they are very sensitive to any interference or disturbance.
10. Stroll around the wonderful fishing port of Conil
One of the most important places in the town is its fishing port. It is in the Cabo de Roche area, to be exact below the Roche Tower. One of the loveliest activities in Conil de la Frontera is walking around this part of town, watching the different boats.
